Zaragoza is the capital city of the Zaragoza province and of the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. It is situated on the Ebro river, near the center of the region, in a valley with a variety of landscapes, ranging from desert to thick forest, meadows and mountains. The city is famous for its folklore, local gastronomy, and landmarks such as the Basilica del Pilar, La Seo Cathedral and the Aljaferia Palace. Zaragoza is currently experiencing a sort of "Renaissance," as the rest of the world is discovering its many attributes.
