    Mostar is a city and municipality in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the most important city in the Herzegovina region, its cultural capital, and the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge is one of the most recommended attractions of the city, followed by Koski Mehmed-Pasina Dzamija Mosque, Partisan Cemetery, Kujundziluk Old Bazzar, and more.

    Medjugorje is a town located in the Herzegovina region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, around 25km southwest of Mostar and close to the border of Croatia. Since 1981, it has become a popular site of Catholic pilgrimage due to reports of alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary to six local Catholics. The name Medjugorje literally means "between mountains". At an altitude of 200m above sea level it has a mild Mediterranean climate. The town consists of an ethnically homogeneous Croat population. The Roman Catholic parish consists of five neighboring villages. When here, don't forget to visit the Church of St. Jacob.

  • Neum from the highway (magistrala)

    Neum is the only town to be situated along Bosnia and Herzegovina's 20km of coastline, making it the country's only access to the Adriatic Sea. Neum has steep hills, sandy beaches, and several large tourist hotels. Prices tend to be lower than in neighboring Croatia, making it popular with shoppers. Tourism, and the commerce it brings, is the leading contributor to the economy of the area. Border formalities with Croatia are relaxed at peak times. Besides a vibrant atmosphere, the town offers a very nice beach to its visitors.

  • Konjic

    Konjic is a town and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in northern Herzegovina, around 50km southwest of Sarajevo. It is a mountainous, heavily wooded area, and is 268m above sea level. The municipality extends on both sides of the Neretva River. The town of Konjic, housed about a third of the total municipality population. The city is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia, dating back almost 4000 years; the city in its current incarnation arising as an important town in the late 14th century. Its sights include the presidential Tito's Bunker, the Old Bridge, and the wonderful old town.
