Georgia Abkhazia Sukhumi
Sukhumi is the capital of the de facto independent Republic of Abkhazia. The majority of the international community consider it to be a part of Georgia even though Georgia has no control over Sukhumi and the rest of Abkhazia ever since the 1992-93 war in Abkhazia. Sukhumi houses a number of historical monuments, notably the Beslet arcaded bridge built during the reign of queen Tamar of Georgia in the 12th century. It also retains visible vestiges of the defunct monuments, including the Roman walls, several fortresses, and nearby monasteries.
