    Pescara is the capital city of the Province of Pescara in the Abruzzo region of Italy, on the Adriatic coast. Featuring a shoreline that extends for more than 20 km (12 mi), Pescara is a popular seaside resort on the Adriatic coast during summer. Every July Pescara holds an international jazz festival. The main commercial street of the city is Corso Umberto I, which runs from Piazza della Republica and reaches the seacoast at Piazza Primo Maggio. The rectangle that it forms with Corso Vittorio Emanuele II and Via Nicola Fabrizi encloses the main shopping district, where several of the best fashion shops are located.

  • Green City

    Campobasso a city and commune in central-southern Italy, the capital of the Molise region and of the province of Campobasso. It is located in the high basin of the Biferno river, surrounded by the Sannio and Matese mountains. Campobasso is renowned for the craftsmanship of blades and for the production of pears and scamorza cheese. One of the mains attractions of Campobasso is the Castello Monforte, built in 1450 by the local ruler Nicola II Monforte, over Lombard or Norman ruins. Next to the castle is the Chiesa della Madonna del Monte that houses a precious wooden statue of the Incoronata.

    Chieti is a city and comune in Southern Italy, 200 kilometres (124 miles) east by northeast of Rome. Chieti is situated a few kilometers away from the Adriatic Sea, and with the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains in the background. It is divided into the old town on the homonymous hill overlooking the Aterno-Pescara and the more recent commercial and industrial area, which is called Chieti Scalo and has developed thanks to the Chieti railway station along the ancient layout of Via Tiburtina, in the valley of the Aterno-Pescara. According to some historians, the Good Friday procession, which is considered Italy's oldest religious procession, has taken place in Chieti since 842.

    Giulianova is a coastal town and commune in the province of Teramo of central Italy. The town lies in the north of the Abruzzo region, between the Salinello and the Tordino rivers. Giulianova is split between the Paese, the historic town up in the hills, and the lido, the more recent development down by the beach. Tourism plays a big part in the town's economy. The town, characterized by several beaches, is a summer retreat for people from large cities like Rome and Milan, as well as German and French tourists.

    L'Aquila is a city and commune in central Italy, it has a population of 66,565 inhabitants. Laid out within medieval walls on a hill in the wide valley of the Aterno river, it is surrounded by the Apennine Mountains. L'Aquila sits upon a hillside in the middle of a narrow valley; tall snow-capped mountains of the Gran Sasso massif flank the town. A maze of narrow streets, lined with Baroque and Renaissance buildings and churches, open onto elegant piazzas. Home to the University of L'Aquila, it is a lively college town and, as such, has many cultural institutions: a repertory theater, a symphony orchestra, a fine-arts academy, a state conservatory, a film institute. There are several ski resorts in the surrounding province.

  • Sulmona

    Sulmona is a city and commune of the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo, Italy, with around 25,000 inhabitants. It is in the Valle Peligna, a plateau once occupied by a lake that disappeared in prehistoric times. In the ancient era, it was one of the most important cities of the Paeligni and is known for being the native town of Ovid, of whom there is a bronze statue in the square known as Piazza XX Settembre located on the town's main road also under his name. Sulmona has various piazzas, churches and palaces of historical and touristic interest. Some of these include: Sulmona Cathedral, Corso Ovidio, Palazzo Annunziata, Chiesa della SS. Annunziata, and many more.

    Termoli is a town and commune on the Adriatic coast of Italy. It has a population of around 32,000, and it is a local resort town known for its beaches and old fortifications. Once it was known only as a fishing port, but in the past years it is a favorite resort for Italian families. Termoli's old town has been well restored. It is a genuine walled community jutting out into the sea. Many of the houses have been re-built and painted in a range of pastel colours. In a central square there is the cathedral (12th-13th century), dedicated to St. Mary of the Purification

  • Piazza Barcani a Vasto!

    Vasto is a town and commune on the Adriatic coast of the Province of Chieti in southern Abruzzo, Italy. The population is just over 40,000. The old part of the town (centro storico) features a number of buildings and churches dating from the 12th-18th centuries, including: Vasto Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Giuseppe). Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the largest and oldest (mentioned in a document as early as 1195) church in the town, with a quite tall bell tower. Below the hill on which the town is located, the beach resort town of Marina di Vasto offers a large sandy beach and several hotels and other facilities.
