    Urbino is a walled city in the Marche region of Italy, it is a World Heritage Site notable for a remarkable historical legacy of independent Renaissance culture, especially under the patronage of Federico da Montefeltro, duke of Urbino from 1444 to 1482. The town, nestled on a high sloping hillside, retains much of its picturesque medieval aspect, only slightly marred by the large car parks below the town. It hosts the University of Urbino, founded in 1506, and is the seat of the Archbishop of Urbino Its best-known architectural piece is the Palazzo Ducale, rebuilt by Luciano Laurana.

    Ascoli Piceno is a town and comune in the Marche region of Italy, capital of the province of the same name. Its population is around 51,000 but the urban area of the city has more than 105,000.

    Pesaro is a town and commune in the Italian region of the Marche. According to the 2011 census, its population was 95,011, Fishery, furniture industry and tourism are the main strengths of the local economy. Main sights include The Ducal Palace (15th century); Rocca Costanza (15th century) - Massive castle built by Costanzo I Sforza; Villa Imperiale of Pesaro (c. 1530) - Suburban palace with gardens, and many more.

    Macerata is a city and commune in central Italy. The historical city center is located on a hill between the Chienti and Potenza rivers. Together with the modern town, sprawling on the plain below, it has a population of about 43,000. There is a lift (elevator) connecting the two towns. In the central Piazza della Libertà is the Loggia dei Mercanti with two-tier arcades dating from the Renaissance. There are a number of striking palazzi, mostly along Corso Matteotti, including Palazzo dei diamanti. Next to the Loggia dei Mercanti, Corso della Repubblica leads to Piazza Vittorio Veneto where, in the Palazzo Ricci, there is a modern art gallery.

  • Ancona

    Ancona is a city and a seaport in central Italy. The city is located on the Adriatic Sea. Ancona is one of the main ports on the Adriatic Sea, especially for passenger traffic, and is the main economic and demographic center of the region. Ancona Cathedral, dedicated to Judas Cyriacus, was consecrated at the beginning of the 11th century and completed in 1189.
