Venice is a city in northeastern Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. Venice is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture and its artworks. The city in its entirety is listed as a World Heritage Site, along with its lagoon. It is also known for its several important artistic movements, especially the Renaissance period. Venice is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world for its celebrated art and architecture. The city has an average of 50,000 tourists a day.

Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" is composed of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre area is a very popular tourist destination.

Verona is a city straddling the Adige river in Veneto, northern Italy. It is one of the main tourist destinations in northern Italy, owing to its artistic heritage, several annual fairs, shows, and operas, such as the lyrical season in the Arena, the ancient amphitheater built by the Romans. The city has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO because of its urban structure and architecture. Three of Shakespeare's plays are set in Verona: Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Taming of the Shrew.

Sirmione is a commune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, northern Italy. It has a historic center which is located on the Sirmio peninsula that divides the lower part of Lake Garda. The main historical landmark of Sirmione is the so-called Grottoes of Catullus (Grotte di Catullo), the most striking example of a Roman private edifice discovered in northern Italy. The edifice had a rectangular plan and measured 167 x 105 meters. The town is famous for its thermal springs.

Vicenza is a city in north-eastern Italy. Vicenza is a thriving and cosmopolitan city, with a rich history and culture, and many museums, art galleries, piazzas, villas, churches and elegant Renaissance palazzi. With the Palladian Villas of the Veneto in the surrounding area, and its renowned Teatro Olimpico (Olympic Theater), the "city of Palladio" has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.

Cortina d'Ampezzo is a town and commune in the southern (Dolomitic) Alps located in Veneto, a region in Northern Italy. Located in the heart of the Dolomites in an alpine valley, it is a popular winter sport resort known for its ski-ranges, scenery, accommodations, shops and apres-ski scene. It hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics as well as various world cup events and motion pictures. It is also known for its jet set and European aristocracy crowd.

Mantua is a city and commune in Lombardy, Italy, and capital of the province of the same name. In 2007, Mantua's centro storico (old town) and Sabbioneta were declared by UNESCO to be a World Heritage Site. Mantua's historic power and influence under the Gonzaga family made it one of the main artistic, cultural, and especially musical hubs of Northern Italy and the country as a whole. Mantua is noted for its significant role in the history of opera, and the city is known for its architectural treasures and artifacts, elegant palaces, and medieval and Renaissance cityscape. It is the town to which Romeo was banished in William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.

Riva del Garda is a town and commune in the northern Italian Trentino Alto Adige region. It is also known simply as Riva. The estimated population is 15,151. The Museo Civico is located in the Rocca, a medieval fortress with quadrangular bastions, placed on the lake, bounded by a canal with drawbridge. It was the fortress of the noble family Scaligeri (1124), who became the Lords of Verona. It was rebuilt several times and it was used by the Austrians as barracks in the 18th century. It is frequently the seat of cultural activities, especially during the summer months.

Bellagio is a commune in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located on Lake Como. It has long been famous for its setting at the intersection of the three branches of the Y-shaped lake, which is also known as Lario. Bellagio is situated at the tip of the peninsula separating the lake's two southern arms, with the Alps visible across the lake to the north.

Bergamo is a city and commune in Lombardy, Italy. The commune is home to over 120,000 inhabitants. The foothills of the Alps begin immediately north of the town. The town has two centers: "Citta alta" (upper city), a hilltop medieval town, surrounded by 16th-century cyclonic defensive walls, and the "Citta bassa" (lower city).

Aosta is the principal city of Aosta Valley, a bilingual region in the Italian Alps. It is situated near the Italian entrance of the Mont Blanc Tunnel. The ancient town walls of Augusta Praetoria Salassorum are still preserved almost in their entirety. In addition to traditional agriculture, Alba is a very important center of wine. In the area of Alba there are 290 wineries. Alba is also famous worldwide for its white truffles, and its annual Truffle Festival.
