Aci Castello

Established in the 11C as a coastal fortification, this small fishing village now boasts great food and the ruins of the fort.

Aci Castello is a city and commune in the Province of Catania in Sicily. The city is located on the Mediterranean coast. Aci Castello developed around its castle, which was built in 1076 by the Normans upon the foundations of a 7th-century Byzantine fortification.
