There many museums in Vienna, and several of them are in the Museumsquartier. Architectural styles range from classicist buildings to modern architecture. A Vienna ball is an all-night cultural attraction. Major Viennese balls generally begin at 9 pm and last until 5 am, although many guests carry on the celebrations into the next day.

Berchtesgaden is a municipality in the German Bavarian Alps. To the south of the city the Berchtesgaden National Park stretches along three parallel valleys. Berchtesgaden is often associated with the Watzmann, at 2,713 m the third-highest mountain in Germany, which is renowned in the rock climbing community for its Ostwand (East Face), and a deep glacial lake by the name of Königssee (5.2 km²). Another notable peak is the Kehlstein mountain (1,835 m) with its Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), which offers spectacular views to its visitors.

Füssen is a town in Bavaria, Germany. The town is known for its violinmaking industry. Attractions in Fussen: The High Castle houses a branch gallery of the Bavarian State Collections of Paintings, which focuses on late Gothic and Renaissance works of art. The oldest fresco in Germany can be found in the crypt of St Mang's Basilica, It dates back to about the year 980. St Mang's Feast Day (6 September) is commemorated with a Holy Mass followed by a procession by torchlight through the old part of the city. During the week of the Saint's Feast a special 'Magnus Wine' is sold, with only 500 bottles produced.

Baden-Baden is a spa town in southwestern Germany. It is located in the northern foothills of the Black Forest, on the banks of the Oos River in close proximity to France and Switzerland. The city offers many options for sports enthusiasts. Horse races take place each May, August and October at nearby Iffezheim. The countryside is ideal for hiking and mountain climbing. In the winter Baden-Baden is a skiing destination. The springs of Baden-Baden have been known for more than 2,000 years, and their composition resembles that of the Roman baths of the 3rd century. The water at the baths of "Caracalla-Therme" spa comes from artesian wells 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) under the Florentiner Mountain.

One of Switzerland's major cities, Lucerne offers a myriad of cultural landmarks, a beautiful lake and a lively, fun, atmosphere.

Since the city straddles the Reuss River, it has a number of bridges, the most famous is the Chapel Bridge. Old Town Lucerne is located north of the Reuss River, and has several fine half-timber structures with painted fronts. Remnants of the old town walls exist, complete with 8 tall watch towers. The twin needle towers of the Church of St. Leodegar sit on a hill above the lake. Bertel Thorvaldsen's famous carving of a dying lion is found in a park just off the Lowenplatz, commemorating the hundreds of Swiss Guards who were killed during the French Revolution. The Swiss Museum of Transport is beside the lake in the northern section of the city as well as the Culture and Convention Center.
