Known for its old world charm, the city itself was founded in the 7C, with evidence of settlement dating back much earlier.

Tuscania is a town and commune in the province of Viterbo, Lazio Region, Italy. The main monument of the city is the church of Saint Peter and other sights include the Etruscan Museum, the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Tower of Lavello and Etruscan necropolises, including the Tomb of the Queen and Pian di Mola. The historic quarter is substantial, completely surrounded by the medieval city walls that offer excellent views over the surrounding countryside and the church of St Peter.

Assisi

Virtually unchanged since the 13C, this town is the birthplace of several saints, boasts elaborate architecture, and exudes history.

Assisi is a town and commune of Italy in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region, on the western flank of Monte Subasio. It was the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208, and St. Clare (Chiara d'Offreducci), the founder of the Poor Sisters, which later became the Order of Poor Clares after her death. The 19th-century Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows was also born in Assisi. UNESCO collectively designated the Franciscan structures of Assisi as a World Heritage Site in 2000. The town is dominated by two medieval castles. Assisi has had a rich tradition of art through the centuries and is now home to a number of well known artistic works.
