Alassio is a town and commune in the province of Savona northern Italy, approximately 80 km from the French border. Alassio is known for its natural and scenic views. The town center is crossed by a pedestrianized cobbled road known as the Budello. The town has sandy beaches, blue sea, and many bars and restaurants on the sea front. Alassio has also a pier known as "Molo di Alassio" or "Pontile Bestoso" which offers views of the town. Alassio is situated on the Riviera di Ponente coast, and it has a small turist port (porticciolo) named "Luca Ferrari". It is also a health resort in winter and a bathing place in summer and has many hotels.

With its long history, fine palaces, and an 18C cityscape, Levanto may serve as the cheaper and quieter alternative to Cinque Terre.

Levanto is a commune in the province of La Spezia. The town is on the coast at the end of a valley, thickly wooded with olive and pine trees. The ridges on either side of the valley thrust out into the sea as the headlands of Mesco and Levanto. Parts of Levanto's territory is included in the Cinque Terre National Park. Main sights include : Medieval castle, built to defend the village and still in a state of perfect conservation; church of Sant'Andrea (Church of Saint Andrew). An example of 13th century Ligurian Gothic style with its facade decorated in black and white bands, and a magnificent rose window surmounting the main door.

Sirmione is a commune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, northern Italy. It has a historic center which is located on the Sirmio peninsula that divides the lower part of Lake Garda. The main historical landmark of Sirmione is the so-called Grottoes of Catullus (Grotte di Catullo), the most striking example of a Roman private edifice discovered in northern Italy. The edifice had a rectangular plan and measured 167 x 105 meters. The town is famous for its thermal springs.
