Half of this city is UNESCO listed, it also offers great dining and nightlife options for the millions who visit annually.

Bordeaux is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. The city's titles are "La Perle d'Aquitaine" (The Pearl of Aquitaine), and "La Belle Endormie" (Sleeping Beauty) in reference to the old center which had black walls due to pollution. Nowadays, this is not the case. In fact, a part of the city, Le Port de La Lune, was almost completely renovated. Bordeaux is the city which has the highest number of preserved historical buildings in France, except for Paris. Bordeaux is the world's major wine industry capital. Bordeaux wine has been produced in the region since the 8th century. The historic part of the city is on the UNESCO World Heritage List as "an outstanding urban and architectural ensemble" of the 18th century.

Amboise is a commune in central France. It lies on the banks of the Loire River, east of Tours. Today a small market town, it was once home of the French royal court. The town of Amboise is also only about 18 kilometres (11 mi) away from the historic Chateau de Chenonceau, situated on the Cher River near the small village of Chenonceaux. The city is famous for the Clos Luce manor house where Leonardo da Vinci lived (and ultimately died) at the invitation of King Francis I of France, whose Chateau d'Amboise, which dominates the town, is located just 500 m (1,640 feet) away. The narrow streets contain some good examples of timbered housing.

Concarneau is a commune in Brittany in north-western France. The town has two distinct areas: the modern town on the mainland and the medieval Ville Close, a walled town on a long island in the center of the harbor. Historically, the old town was a center of shipbuilding. The Ville Close is now devoted to tourism with many restaurants and shops aimed at tourists. Also in the Ville Close is the fishing museum. The Ville Close is connected to the town by a drawbridge and at the other end a ferry to the village of Lanriec on the other side of the harbor.

There are only a few canals in The Hague, and the remaining ones are surrounded by parks and gardens.

It lies on the River Avon The town is a popular tourist destination owing to its status as birthplace of the playwright and poet William Shakespeare, The Royal Shakespeare Company resides in Stratford's Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Other tourist attractions within the town include five houses relating to Shakespeare's life, At the top end of Waterside is Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare was baptised and is buried. Other attractions include the Stratford Butterfly Farm, which is on the eastern side of the river and the Bancroft Gardens and Stratford Armouries.
