Copenhagen also serves as the cultural hub of Denmark and wider Scandinavia with a wide array of museums and a significant jazz scene. Strøget, a popular shopping area, hosts many street performers in the late afternoon and evening. Copenhagen is home to the two oldest amusement parks in the world - Dyrehavsbakken and Tivoli Gardens. The city also has many restaurants and bars with nightclub staing open until 5 or 6 in the morning.

In 1851 Zagreb had its first mayor, Janko Kamauf, and in 1945 it was made the capital of Croatia when the demographic boom and the urban sprawl made the city as it is known nowadays.
