Bruges has most of its medieval architecture intact. The historic centre of Bruges has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Many of its medieval buildings are notable, including the Church of Our Lady, whose brick spire reaches 122.3m, making it one of the world's highest brick towers/buildings. The sculpture Madonna and Child, which can be seen in the transept, is believed to be Michelangelo's only sculpture to have left Italy within his lifetime. Bruges' most famous landmark is its 13th-century belfry, housing a municipal carillon comprising 48 bells. The city still employs a full-time carillonneur, who gives free concerts on a regular basis.

Bonn was the de facto capital of West Germany from 1949 to 1990. Bonn is the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven (born 1770). Beethoven's birthplace is located in Bonngasse near the market place. Next to the market place is the Old Town Hall, built in 1737 in Rococo style. Nearby is the Kurfürstliches Schloss, built as a residence for the prince-elector and now the main building of the University of Bonn.

Bamberg is a town in Bavaria, Germany. Its historic city center is a listed UNESCO world heritage site, primarily because of its authentic medieval appearance. The Bamberg cathedral is a late Romanesque building with four grand towers. It was founded in 1004. It was later partially destroyed by fire in 1081. The new cathedral was consecrated in 1111 and in the 13th century received its present late-Romanesque form. Of its many historic works of art may be mentioned the magnificent marble tomb of the founder and his wife, carved between 1499 and 1513. Another treasure of the cathedral is an equestrian statue known as the Bamberg Horseman, This statue dates to approximately 1200.

A charming village full of history, where the many traditional 17C and 18C buildings are still home many of the city's residents.

Røros is a town in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The modern-day inhabitants of Røros still work and live in the characteristic 17th and 18th century buildings which have led to its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Røros has about 80 wooden houses, most of them standing around courtyards. Many retain their dark pitch-log facades, giving the town a medieval appearance. During winter, a traditional market called "Rørosmartnan" is organized each year in February and attracts many tourists. Femundsmarka National Park is located not far from town, as well as several lakes with the larger ones being Aursund, Femund, Bolagen and Flensjøen.

Trondheim is a city in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The Nidaros Cathedral is particularly noteworthy for it's cultural and religious significance and for it's gothic architecture.

Also known simply as "Mo," it is one of Norway's northernmost cities and is the gateway to the unique nature of the Arctic Circle.

Mo i Rana is a town and administrative center of the municipality of Rana in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just south of the Arctic Circle and in the Helgeland region of Nordland. Some of the outlying areas of the town include the suburbs of Basmoen and Ytteren in the north and Selfors in the east. The town is called "Mo i Rana" to distinguish it from other places named Mo (including the town of Mosjoen, also in Helgeland) though locally the town is usually just called Mo. The population density is 1,467 inhabitants per square kilometer. This makes it the largest town in Helgeland and the second largest (after Bodo) in Nordland.

The municipality of Bodø has lots of wilderness to offer hikers. Sjunkhatten National Park is partly located in Bodø municipality, and there are also 17 nature reserves in the area. Bodø is host to the cultural festivals Nordland Musikfestuke and Parkenfestivalen every summer, as well as the free and volunteer based Bodø Hardcore Festival in early winter.

Narvik is the third-largest city in Nordland county, Norway. Narvik is located on the shores of the Ofotfjorden, inside the Arctic Circle. The town has access to numerous outdoor activities: Wreck diving attracts divers to Narvik, as there are many wrecks near the harbour and more spread out in the fjord. Fishing in the fjord, lakes and streams, Mountain hiking and skiing are also popular. Narvik is known as the best location in northern Norway for alpine skiing. There are lifts, and several of the slopes are floodlit. Narvik Winter Festival takes place in early March.
