Stockholm is the cultural, political and economic centre of Sweden. The city houses some 100 museums and the most renowned is the National museum. Another prized museum is the Vasa Museum. Stockholm region is home to three of Sweden's World Heritage Sites: Drottningholm Palace, Skogskyrkogården and Birka. Another tourist attraction is Gröna Lund - an amusement park located on the island of Djurgården. As of 2013 Stockholm boasts several Michelin star restaurants, two of which have two stars.

Sundsvall is also home to the unique festival Musikschlaget which is an alternative song contest for groups around Sweden with disabilities.

Östersund is the capital of Jämtland County, in the middle of Sweden. Östersund's main shopping street is Prästgatan — "the priest road" and Stortorget — the main town square is the city's main market place and core. It is also here that the thousand year old market Gregorie market is held each year in March. The city festival Storsjöyran has Stortorget as its main centre.

Gallivare is a locality and the seat of Gallivare Municipality in Norrbotten County, province of Lapland, Sweden. The town was founded in the 17th century. Gallivare is situated at the northern end of the Inlandsbanan railway line, just about 100 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Outside Gallivare lies the ski resort Dundret, which is equipped with six ski lifts and ten groomed slopes along with a conference center and hotel. The ski season stretches from the end of October all the way into early May. The town has been host for several World Cup skiing events, both alpine and cross-country.
