Reykjavík is the capital and largest city of Iceland. Reykjavík is famous for its weekend nightlife - Icelanders tend to go out late, so bars that look rather quiet can fill up suddenly—usually after midnight on a weekend. There are over 100 different bars and clubs in Reykjavík most of them are located on Laugavegur and its side streets and it is very common for an establishment that is a café before dinner to turn into a bar in the evening.Laugavegur is also the main shopping street. Other attractions in town include the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, National Museum of Iceland, Vikin Maritime Museum, Rauðhólar and the Heiðmörk forest.

Blonduos is a town and municipality in the north of Iceland, situated on Route 1 at the mouth of the glacial river Blanda for which it is named. Blonduos does not have a good harbour, but the settlement's main role is as a dairy service centre for the surrounding farm areas.

Höfn is an Icelandic fishing town in the south-eastern part of the country, located on a peninsula in the south-east of Iceland near Hornafjörður fjord. A cultural highlight of the town is the annual Humarhátíð (lobster festival) held on the first weekend of July.
