It has a large 15 C church, an impressive 16C City Hall, several large 17C palaces, a 17C Protestant church, and many important 18C buildings. The city is becoming more student friendly with several universities and academies. The Hague is the largest Dutch city on the North Sea and includes 2 beach resorts. There are only a few canals in The Hague, and the remaining ones are surrounded by parks and gardens.

Known as the "Venice of the North," Bruges boasts superb Flemish art, scenic canals, and a prosperous past.

Bruges has most of its medieval architecture intact. The historic centre of Bruges has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. Many of its medieval buildings are notable, including the Church of Our Lady, whose brick spire reaches 122.3m, making it one of the world's highest brick towers/buildings. The sculpture Madonna and Child, which can be seen in the transept, is believed to be Michelangelo's only sculpture to have left Italy within his lifetime. Bruges' most famous landmark is its 13th-century belfry, housing a municipal carillon comprising 48 bells. The city still employs a full-time carillonneur, who gives free concerts on a regular basis.

Amiens is a city and commune in northern France. The author Jules Verne lived in Amiens from 1871 until his death in 1905. During December, the town hosts the largest Christmas market in northern France. Amiens is known for a few local foods, including "macarons d'Amiens", almond paste biscuits; "tuiles amienoises", chocolate and orange curved biscuits; "pate de canard d'Amiens", duck pate in pastry; "la ficelle Picarde", an oven-baked cheese-topped crepe; and "flamiche aux poireaux", a puff pastry tart made with leeks and cream.

Reims, is a city in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France. The principal squares of Reims include the Place Royale, with a statue of Louis XV, and the Place Cardinal-Lucon, with an equestrian statue of Joan of Arc. The Rue de Vesle, the main commercial street (continued under other names), traverses the city from southwest to northeast, passing through the Place Royale. Restaurants and bars are concentrated around Place Drouet d'Erlon in the city center. The oldest monument in Reims, the Porte de Mars ("Mars Gate", so called from a temple to Mars in the neighborhood), a triumphal arch 108 feet in length by 43 in height, consists of three archways flanked by columns.
