Bath is a city in the ceremonial county of Somerset, South West England. The city became a spa with the Latin name Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis") c. AD 60 when the Romans built baths and a temple in the valley of the River Avon, although oral tradition suggests that the hot springs were known before then. It became popular as a spa town during the Georgian era, leaving a heritage of Georgian architecture crafted from Bath Stone. Bath became a World Heritage Site in 1987. The city's theatres, museums and other cultural and sporting venues have helped to make it a major centre for tourism.

Caernarfon is a royal town, community and port in Gwynedd, Wales. One of the oldest buildings in the town is The Market Hall, which is situated on Hole In The Wall street. The old court buildings, replaced in 2009 by a new complex designed by HOK on the former Segontium School site in Llanberis Road, are situated inside the castle walls, next door to the Anglesey Arms Hotel and to the Gwynedd County Council buildings in Pendeitch. They are grand buildings, especially the exterior of the former magistrates' court, which features a gothic architecture style of decoration.

Derby is a city in the East Midlands region of England. It lies upon the banks of the River Derwent. As home to Lombe's Mill, the first factory in the world, Derby is considered a birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Derby Gaol is based in the dungeons of the Derbyshire County Gaol which dates back to 1756. The Silk Mill stands at the southern end of the 24 km (15 mi) stretch of the River Derwent designated a World Heritage Site in 2001. Pickford's House Museum was built by architect Joseph Pickford in 1770. Derby Museum and Art Gallery shows paintings by Joseph Wright, as well as fine Royal Crown Derby porcelain, natural history, local regiments and archaeology.

Mons has been a strategic location since the 1C BC, its rich history is experienced through the city's architecture and museums.

Mons is home to several places of interest. The Grand Place is the center of the historic town and the stage for the annual mock-battle of the Lumecon. The City Hall, originally built near the current location of the belfry, was moved on the Grand Place in 13C. The flamboyant gothic building seen today dates from the 15C. In front of it stands a statue of a monkey, which is said to bring good fortune to those who pat his head. The collegiate church of Sainte-Waudru is a good specimen of Gothic architecture. The neighboring belfry, classified as a World Heritage Site, dates from the 17C and is the only Baroque-style belfry in Belgium. The so-called Spanish House dates from the 16C.

Verdun's tragic history during World War I is overcome by its charm today, with bustling activity and beautiful surroundings.

Verdun is a small city in Lorraine in north-eastern France. The Chatel Gate is the only remaining part of the medieval city walls. It leads onto La Roche Square. La Citadelle was built in the 17th Century. It is still in military hands but the underlying tunnels can still be visited. Notre-Dame de Verdun Cathedral was consecrated in 1147 but was built on the site of an earlier church. The 12th Century Lion Door on the north side has a lavishly decorated tympanum. The whole building was heavily restored in the 18th Century. The Episcopal Palace was built in the 18th Century by Robert de Cotte and has a fine facade. Part of the building is occupied by the World Peace Center.

Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" is composed of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre area is a very popular tourist destination.

Treviso is a city and commune in Veneto, northern Italy. Treviso is known for being the original production area of the Prosecco wine, and being the town where popular Italian dessert Tiramisu was created. Main sights in Treviso include : The Late Romanesque–Early Gothic church of San Francesco, built by the Franciscan community in 1231–1270; The Loggia dei Cavalieri, an example of Treviso's Romanesque influenced by Byzantine forms. It was built under the podestà Andrea da Perugia (1276) as a place for meetings, talks and games. Church of San Nicolò, a mix of 13th-century Venetian Romanesque and French Gothic elements. The interior has a nave and two aisles, with five apsed chapels.

Salzburg's "Old Town" is internationally renowned for its baroque architecture and is one of the best-preserved city centers north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city has three universities and a large population of students. Tourists also frequent the city to tour the city's historic center, many palaces, and the scenic Alpine surroundings. Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the mid‑20th century, the city was the setting for parts of the musical play and film The Sound of Music.

Rothenburg is well known for its well-preserved medieval old town. It is part of the popular Romantic Road through southern Germany. In 1170 the city of Rothenburg was founded at the time of the building of Staufer Castle. In October 1631, during the Thirty Years' War, the Count of Tilly, wanted to quarter his 40,000 troops in Rothenburg. Rather than allow entrance, the town defended itself. However, Tilly's troops quickly defeated Rothenburg. and in 1634 the Black Death killed many more townsfolk. Without any money or power, Rothenburg stopped growing, thus preserving its 17th-century state. sites include The Criminal Museum, Imperial City Museum and the Rathaus (town hall).

Cochem is a town in Cochem-Zell district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. With just under 5,000 inhabitants, Cochem falls just behind Kusel as Germany's second smallest district seat. The Reichsburg Cochem (Reichsburg castle) had its first documented mention in 1130. In 1151, it was occupied by King Konrad III, who declared it an Imperial castle. In 1688, the castle was overrun by French King Louis XIV's troops in the course of the Nine Years' War. The castle complex long lay in ruins until 1868 when it was reconstructed in the Gothic Revival style.
