De Panne is a town and a municipality located on the North Sea coast of the Belgian province of West Flanders. There it borders France, which implies that it is the westernmost location of Belgium. De Panne is home to Plopsaland, a themepark aimed at young children and located at the former Meli-Park. De Panne was also the place where the first land yachts intended for sport were built and used by the Dumont brothers in 1898. The Blegian Militaty Cemetery is located at Kerkstraat 69 in De Panne, 1 km south of the church. Besides Belgian soldiers who died in WWI there are also British soldiers who died in WWII. 3744 soldiers have been buried here.

With roots dating all the way back to 4,000 BC, this ancient town boasts a wealth of historic architecture.

The collegiate church of Saint Gertrude, patron saint of the city, dates from the 11C-13C and is one of the best examples of Romanesque style in Belgium. It has been classified as one of Europe's major heritage sites. Tombs from the Merovingian (7C) and Carolingian (9C) periods have been found under the church. The Romanesque crypt is one of the largest in Europe. The two-meter-tall 15C statue that strikes the hours in one of the towers is known as "Jean de Nivelles". The Recollets convent and its church date from the 16C. Nivelles also has an archaeological museum, which complements the visit at Saint Gertrude. The "Dodaine" park provides a green space on the southern side of the town.

Kalabaka is a municipality in the Trikala regional unit, part of Thessaly in Greece. The town is situated on the foot of the Meteora peaks, and is known for the Meteora monasteries are located in the town. The town was built on the location of the ancient city of Aiginion and of its medieval monuments, only the cathedral, the Church of the Dormition, survives. Relics of an ancient Greek temple – probably of god Apollo – have been incorporated in the wall of the town’s oldest and most renowned church, dedicated to Virgin Mary.
