Norway's oldest town, Tonsberg is home to a number of interesting historic sites, museums, and cultural venues.
Tønsberg is a municipality in Vestfold county, southern Norway, on the western coast of the Oslofjord.
Perhaps the most important landmark in the town is Slottsfjellet - the tower standing on the hill. Other notable landmarks include The Haugar Art Museum, Foynegården, Ruins of St. Olav's Church and Oseberghaugen - a Viking era burial mound. The Oseberg ship was found in this site.
Tønsberg is also noted for the silverware produced in town.
