Jagodina is a city located in Serbia, 136km south of Belgrade, on the banks of Belica River. Its name derives from the word for strawberry (Јагода) in Serbian. It is the administrative centre of the Pomoravlje District of Serbia. The city proper has a population of 37,282 inhabitants, while administrative area has a population of 71,852. Jagodina was given the status of a city in December 2007. Its main attractions are the Heritage Museum, Jagodina Wax Museum, Aquapark Jagodina, Museum of Naive and Marginal Art, and a zoo.
