Chiang Dao is a town and tambon (subdistrict) of Chiang Dao District, in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. In 2005 it had a total population of 15,194 people. The tambon contains 16 villages. It is 87km due north of Chiang Mai. Make sure to visit the Chiang Dao Caves if in the area, or drop by the nearby national park.
