Falkirk is a town in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It lies in the Forth Valley, almost midway between the two most populous cities of Scotland;Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is a large retail centre catering to the town itself and a wide surrounding area and the High Street, pedestrianised, is the main shopping area The historical Callendar House - a 600-year-old mantion - is now a museum and also has a cafe and shop. Other landmarks in town include the Falkirk Wheel rotary canal connector, Falkirk Steeple and Callendar Park.
