Brighton is a delight with its eclectic blend of seaside relaxation, cultural activities, trendy restaurants, and homey cafes.
Brighton is a town on the south coast of Great Britain.
The ancient settlement of "Brighthelmstone" dates from before 1086, but it emerged as a health resort featuring sea bathing during the 18th century, was used as a seaside getaway by the Prince Regent, and became a highly popular destination for day-trippers from London after the arrival of the railway in 1841.
Notable attractions include The Royal Pavilion (a former royal palace), Brighton Marine Palace and Pier (opened at 1899) and Brighton clocktower.
The seafront has bars, restaurants, nightclubs, sports facilities and amusement arcades, principally between the piers.
