  • Cesky Krumlov

Cesky Krumlov Castle is unusually large for a town of Krumlov's size; within the Czech Republic it is second in extent only to the Hradcany castle complex of Prague. Cesky Krumlov Castle preserves its Baroque theatre, built from 1680-82 under Prince Johann Christian I von Eggenberg and renovated with modern (at the time) stage equipment under Josef Adam zu Schwarzenberg from 1765-66. With this original stage machinery, scenery and props it is among only a few such court theatres that still exist. Krumlov has a museum dedicated to the painter Egon Schiele, who lived in the town.

  • Trebon

Trebon is a historical town in South Bohemian Region of Czech Republic. Trebon was established around the middle of the 12th century. Trebon is a tourist destination, and this is the area's major economic activity, along with agriculture, spa industry, and other services. The TV series The Territory of White Deer was filmed in Trebon. The State Regional Archive for South Bohemia is based here, where genealogical studies about people born in the South Bohemian Region may be conducted, for example. Digital images of Parish registers and other genealogical records from the Archive have been placed on the internet.

  • Tabor, Czech Republik

Though a large part of the ancient fortifications has been demolished, Tabor still preserves many memorials of its past fame. In the centre of the city is Zizka Square. Only very narrow streets lead to it, to rendering reaching it more difficult in time of war. First-time visitors will not even suspect that there is an ingenious labyrinth of tunnels under the houses and streets here. The townspeople dug cellars under their houses and these were subsequently interconnected; an approximately 1 km-long section of the tunnel system is open to the public. Major parts of the ancient fortifications and the ancient Kotnov tower and gate of Bechyně near the tower still exist.

  • Ceské Budejovice

Budejovice has long been well known for the beer brewed there since 13C. For a time, the town was the imperial brewery for the Holy Roman Emperor, and Budweiser Bier became one of the best-known lagers. Brewing remains a major industry. The old town preserves interesting architecture from Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and 19C period. This includes buildings around the large Ottokar II Square, the old Town Hall. The most valuable historic building is the Dominican convent with the 13C Gothic Presentation of the Virgin Mary church. The Museum of South Bohemia holds large collection of historic books, coins, and weapons. In the new town, the Belle Epoque Austro-Hungarian train station is notable.
