Karlsruhe is a city in southwest Germany. Karlsruhe Palace was built in 1715 and the city is now the seat of two of the highest courts in Germany, the Federal Constitutional Court and the Federal Court of Justice. Main attractions : The Stadtgarten is a recreational area near the main railway station and was rebuilt in 1967 during the 'Federal Garden Show. It is also the site of the Karlsruhe Zoo. The Durlacher Turmberg has a look-out tower. It is a former keep dating back to the 13th century. The Marktplatz has a stone pyramid marking the grave of the city's founder. Built in 1825, it is the emblem of Karlsruhe.
