  • Malia

    Malia is a coastal town in the northeast corner of Crete. The town is a tourist attraction, primarily for its significant archaeological site and nightlife. Modern day Malia is a holiday resort, tourism and commerce are the main economic activities in the town, with plenty of hotels, restaurants, gift shops, bars and nightclubs. Malia has become one of the most popular tourist locations of Crete, and one of the most popular in Europe. The Main Strip is home to many bars, clubs, taverns and restaurants. This is supported by the many close by hotels and apartments in Malia and the immediate area.

  • Old harbour, Rethymno

    Rethymno is a city of approximately 40,000 people in Greece. This region as a whole is rich with ancient history and the town itself still maintains its old aristocratic appearance, with its buildings dating from the 16th century, arched doorways, stone staircases, the small Venetian harbour and narrow streets. A Wine Festival is held there annually at the beginning of July. Another festival, in memory of the destruction of the Arkadi Monastery, is held on 7–8 November. The city's Venetian-era citadel, the Fortezza, is one of the best-preserved castles in Crete. Other monuments include the Neratze mosque, the Great Gate, the Piazza Rimondi and the Venetian Loggia.

  • Chania

    Chania is the second largest city of Crete and the capital of the Chania regional unit. It lies along the north coast of the island. Chania is the site of the Minoan settlement the Greeks called Kydonia. Some notable archaeological evidence for the existence of this Minoan city below some parts of today's Chania was found by excavations in the district of Kasteli in the Old Town. The city of Chania can be divided in two parts: the old town and the modern city which is the larger one. The old town is situated next to the old harbour and is the matrix around which the whole urban area was developed. Currently, there are several museums, art galleries, theatre and music groups, within the city.

  • Hóra Sfakíon, Crete - 07/2009

    Hóra Sfakíon is a town on the south coast of Crete, Greece. It is the capital of the remote and mountainous region of Sfakiá, and is a small town of just 278 inhabitants. Hóra Sfakíon has a variety of tourist accommodations: rooms, studios, and apartments and there is a quiet local beach immediately west of the village.

  • Iraklion harbor

    Heraklion, or Heraclion is the largest city and the administrative capital of the island of Crete. It is one of the largest cities in Greece. Around the city can be found several sculptures, statues and busts commemorating significant events and figures of the city's and island's history. Also, many fountains of the Venetian-era are preserved. Travellers can take ferries and boats from Heraklion to destinations including Santorini, Ios Island, Paros, Mykonos, and Rhodes.

  • Agios Nikolaos, Crete

    Agios Nikolaos is a coastal town on the Greek island of Crete, lying east of the island's capital Heraklion. The town sits partially upon the ruins of the ancient city of Lato pros Kamara. Agios Nikolaos is best known as a tourist town that serves as a hub to the twenty or so small villages and farms that make up that part of Lassithi. Tourist attractions include the small lagoon Lake Voulismeni, small beaches in the town, the tiny island Agioi Pantes, the archaeological museum, the local flora exhibition “Iris” and numerous fairs. The lagoon features a small park with a trail, traditional fishing boats, ducks, pigeons, an amphitheatre and many cafès.
