Naxos is a Greek island and is the largest of the Cyclades islands. The largest town and capital of the island is Chora or Naxos City and the main villages are Filoti, Apiranthos, Vivlos, Agios Arsenios, Koronos and Glinado. Naxos is a popular tourist destination, with several ruins. It has a number of beaches, most of them near Chora. As other cycladic islands, Naxos is considered a windy place perfect for windsurfing, as well as kitesurfing. There are seven sports clubs in the island that offer both of these sports and other water activities.

Located on its namesake island, Naxos' history is vast, with 7C BC remains, Venetian landmarks, and a port that dates to antiquity.

Oia (Santorini)

Greece, Santorini region

Small townsNature1 nightSat. May 23 - Sun. May 24

Oia is a small town on the islands of Santorini. It is built on the steep slope of the caldera and the houses and restaurants are built into niches carved into the caldebra on the seaward side. The idyllic surroundings of the town have a complex of white washed blue domed churches and charming, traditional Cycladic houses and cave houses that are carved into the rock face on top of the cliff. It is set in a location which provides excellent views of the sunset over the caldera. To the southwest is the Bay of Armeni, reachable from the town on foot or by mule. Excursion boats for trips around the island and ferries to Therasia leave from here.

Oia stunningly sits along the side of a caldera on the island of Santorini. Many consider its beauty unsurpassed.
