Apeldoorn is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. Apeldoorn is home to Apenheul, a zoo which hosts a number of different types of apes and monkeys, some of which are free to walk around the visitors. There is also an amusement park situated in Apeldoorn, called the Koningin Juliana Toren (Queen Juliana Tower). The southwestern corner of the municipality is part of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. It is the final Battle Honour of The Royal Canadian Regiment who took part in the town's liberation in World War II.

Located in close proximity to some wonderful hiking, as well as rich with history, this quiet city is dotted with nice gardens.

Bielefeld is a city in the Ostwestfalen-Lippe Region in the north-east of North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany. The historical centre of the city is situated north of the Teutoburg Forest line of hills, but modern Bielefeld also incorporates boroughs on the opposite side and on the hills. Sparrenburg Castle is Bielefeld's characteristic landmark. The Old City Hall was built in 1904 and still serves the same function. Other cultural sights of the region are the art museum, the Rudolf Oetker concert hall and the city's municipal botanical garden.

An industrial and university city with a rich past, Bielefeld boasts a wealth of historic sites including a 13C castle.
