Greece Kos

Kos is a Greek island of the group of the Dodecanese, next to the Gulf of Gökova. The principal town of the island is Kos town, and is also the main port and population centre on the island, with whitewashed buildings including many hotels, restaurants anda few nightclubs forming the Kos town "barstreet". In addition to the main town the main villages of Kos island are Kardamena, Kefalos, Tingaki, Antimachia, Mastihari, Marmari and Pyli. Local landmarks include a 14th-century fortress at the entrance to the harbour, the Plane Tree of Hippocrates, the Hippocratic Museum and the ruins of Asklepieion. Kardamena is a popular resort on the island and has a large number of bars and nightclubs.
