    Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" is composed of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre area is a very popular tourist destination.

    Rapallo is a municipality in the province of Genoa, Liguria, northern Italy. It is situated on the Ligurian Sea coast, on the Tigullio Gulf, between Portofino and Chiavari. Rapallo has been known for its climate that made it over the years the winter residence of preference for most of the affluent Italians living in the North West of Italy.   • Genua

    Genoa is the capital of Liguria and the sixth largest city in Italy. Genoa has been nicknamed la Superba ("the Proud one") due to its glorious past and impressive landmarks. Part of the old town of Genoa was inscribed on the World Heritage List (UNESCO) in 2006. The city's rich cultural history in notably its art, music and cuisine allowed it to become the 2004 European Capital of Culture. It is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, Niccolo Paganini and Giuseppe Mazzini.

  • Portovenere

    Porto Venere is a town and comune located on the Ligurian coast of Italy in the province of La Spezia. It comprises the three villages of Fezzano, Le Grazie and Porto Venere, and the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. In 1997 Porto Venere and the villages of Cinque Terre were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

    Finale Ligure is a commune on the Gulf of Genoa in the Province of Savona in Liguria, Italy. It is considered part of the Italian Riviera. Known for its white sand beaches and its views, Finale Ligure is located directly adjacent to the Rock of Caprazoppa, a steep limestone mountain on the southwest, and much of the town extends up hill slopes. The town has a lively commercial district. The boardwalk is lined with palm trees and many restaurants from the adjacent street have located large, open-air dining rooms along it.

    Varazze in the Province of Savona in the Italian region Liguria, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) west of Genoa and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of Savona in the Riviera di Ponente. Nearby in the Ligurian Apennines is the Monte Beigua with its Natural Regional Park. Economy is mostly based on shipyards and tourism.

  • Lerici near La Spezia

    Lerici is a town and commune in the province of La Spezia in Liguria (northern Italy), part of the Italian Riviera. One of the main sights of Lerici is its famous castle which since its first founding in 1152 was used to help control the entrance of the Gulf of La Spezia. Today the castle contains a museum of paleontology.

    Levanto is a commune in the province of La Spezia. The town is on the coast at the end of a valley, thickly wooded with olive and pine trees. The ridges on either side of the valley thrust out into the sea as the headlands of Mesco and Levanto. Parts of Levanto's territory is included in the Cinque Terre National Park. Main sights include : Medieval castle, built to defend the village and still in a state of perfect conservation; church of Sant'Andrea (Church of Saint Andrew). An example of 13th century Ligurian Gothic style with its facade decorated in black and white bands, and a magnificent rose window surmounting the main door.

  • Imperia – Il finire del giorno su San Maurizio Hdr

    ImperiaImperia is a coastal city and commune in the region of Liguria, Italy. It is the capital of the province of Imperia. Mussolini created the city of Imperia on 21 October 1923 by combining Porto Maurizio and Oneglia and the surrounding village communes. Imperia is well known for the cultivation of flowers and olives, and is a popular destination for visitors in summer. The local indoor-pool "Piscina Felice Cascione" has hosted numerous national and international aquatics events.

  • Chiavari

    Chiavari is a town and commune on the Italian Riviera in the Province of Genoa, region of Liguria. It is situated near the mouth of the Entella River, in the center of a fertile plain surrounded by mountains except on the southwest, where it comes down to the Mediterranean Sea. Tourist interest in this town is due to the very clean sea (Blue Flag for clean waters from 1987 until today) and to the expansion of its historical center, that includes typical Genoese style palaces of great value. As of 2007, the town had approximately 28,000 inhabitants.
