Mackay to Narooma

Mackay is a city on the eastern coast of Queensland, Australia, on the banks of the Pioneer River. The city is close to several tourist attractions including Eungella National Park, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Whitsunday Islands. The Bluewater Trail project links several new attractions and tourism pieces around the city including the Bluewater Lagoon, the Bluewater Quay and the Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens. The city is home to the Mackay Festival of Arts held annually throughout July, and is the largest regional arts festival in Queensland. It features wine and cheese tasting, live jazz and other music, stand-up routines, art exhibitions, dance and other performances.

Townsville is a city on the north-eastern coast of Queensland, Australia. The Falls Creek Alpine Resort is an alpine ski resort in the Hume region in northeastern Victoria, Australia. The Rocks, as the Sydney natives call the historic city center, was the shore where the first settlers of the city docked. Many of the settlers – prisoners who were exiled to this new penal colony – set up tents here as did many of the other immigrants who flocked here following rumors of the discovery of gold in Australia. The area became notorious during the 19th century as a center for poverty, neglect, prostitution, and crime.

About a half-mile walk from The Rocks, perched on Observatory Hill - the highest point above the bay - stands the Sydney Observatory.

At the famous Wild Life Sydney Zoo, you can meet kangaroos along with a large variety of other animals. One of two zoos in the city (the other is Taronga Zoo), it was opened in 2006 and is located in Darling Harbour near the Sea Life Aquarium.
