Reims, is a city in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France. The principal squares of Reims include the Place Royale, with a statue of Louis XV, and the Place Cardinal-Lucon, with an equestrian statue of Joan of Arc. The Rue de Vesle, the main commercial street (continued under other names), traverses the city from southwest to northeast, passing through the Place Royale. Restaurants and bars are concentrated around Place Drouet d'Erlon in the city center. The oldest monument in Reims, the Porte de Mars ("Mars Gate", so called from a temple to Mars in the neighborhood), a triumphal arch 108 feet in length by 43 in height, consists of three archways flanked by columns.

Rich in traditions, Reims has also become a modern and dynamic metropolis full of history and excellent cuisine.

Strasbourg is the capital city of the Alsace region in eastern France and is the official seat of the European Parliament. Strasbourg's historic city center, the Grande ֳŽle, was classified a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1988, the first time such an honor was placed on an entire city center. The city is chiefly known for its sandstone Gothic Cathedral with its famous astronomical clock, and for its medieval cityscape of Rhineland black and white timber-framed buildings, particularly in the Petite France district or Gerberviertel ("tanners' district") alongside the Ill and in the streets and squares surrounding the cathedral, where the renowned Maison Kammerzell stands out.

Val d'Isere is a commune in southeastern France. It is on the border of the Vanoise National Park created in 1963. Val d'Isere regularly hosts World Cup alpine events, usually for the men in early December, and hosted the World Championships in 2009. It is located in the Savoie region with good transport links in and out of Lyon, Geneva and Chambery. The western and central areas of Val d'Isère are most recognizable by their "chalet" architecture, while in the eastern part of the town high-rise architecture dominates the landscape. Along with nearby Tignes the area forms part of the "l'Espace Killy", the self-titled "Most Beautiful Ski Area in the World".

In the warm season, this famous ski resort is a base for several world class hikes and nature lovers.

Clermont-Ferrand is a city and commune of France, in the Auvergne region, with a population of 140,700. The city is famous for the chain of volcanoes, the Chaine des Puys surrounding it. The famous dormant volcano Puy-de-Dome is one of the highest of these and well known for the telecommunication antennas that sit on its top and are visible from far away. Clermont-Ferrand has two famous churches. One is Notre-Dame du Port, a Romanesque church which was built during the 11th and 12th centuries. It was nominated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998. The other is Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral, built in Gothic style between the 13th and the 19th centuries.

Youthful and modern, this city still boasts its old houses, cathedrals, and museums, with the ever-present Puys Mountains.
