Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania and its largest city, located in the southeast part of the country, and is the second largest city of the Baltic states. It is known for its Old Town of beautiful architecture, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Its Jewish influence until the 20th century has led to it being described as the "Jerusalem of Lithuania" and Napoleon named it "the Jerusalem of the North" as he was passing through in 1812. In 2009, Vilnius was the European Capital of Culture, together with the Austrian city of Linz. Its attractions include the Amber Gallery-Museum, Gate of Dawn, Church of St. Anne, Republic of Uzupis, and the Vilnius Castle Complex among many others.

Lithuania's capital and largest city offers a grand variety of historic landmarks, as well as a splendid array of architectural gems.

Druskininkai is a spa town on the Nemunas River in southern Lithuania, close to the borders of Belarus and Poland. The city of Druskininkai has a population of 14,172 (2013 Census) and dates back as a spa resort to the 19th century. According to some sources the site of present-day Druskininkai was inhabited by local Yotvingian tribes in the early Middle Ages. In the 13th century the area became a part of the expanding Duchy of Lithuania. There are a number of art and historical museums and galleries in the city. Other places of interest include the Forest Echo Museum, the Gruto Park, St. Mary Church, Aquapark, the Orthodox church, and the Snow Arena.

Retaining its charm as a spa town since the 18C, Druskininkai is famous for its mineral waters and offers several nice spa resorts.

Its main attractions include a castle, a lovely Town Hall, several beautiful churches, Lithuania's only zoo, and more.

Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, the administrative center of Neringa municipality. Located on the Curonian Spit between the Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea, it is the westernmost point of Lithuania and the Baltic states, close to the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast exclave. It currently has about 1,650 residents. The town is an upmarket holiday resort, hosting about 200,000 to 300,000 tourists each summer. It is characterized by low-key entertainment and a distinct family focus. However during recent years it become a decent point of interest for fine electronica music and modern art shows at an eclectic forest retreat. Its main attractions include the famous Parnidis Dune, as well as its wonderful beach.

A popular resort situated on an isthmus, famed for its white-sand beaches, phenomenal natural surrounding, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Palanga is a seaside resort town in western Lithuania, on the shore of the Baltic Sea. It is the busiest summer resort in Lithuania and has beaches of sand 18m long and up to 300m wide, as well as sand dunes. In the summer, a multitude of tourists stay on Palanga, both for its beaches and to enjoy the maritime atmosphere. There is a carnival centered on Jonas Basanavicius Street, which is a pedestrian only thoroughfare during the high season. There are dozens of restaurants, bars, rides, and other forms of entertainment. Palanga's attractions include an Amber Museum and its extensive botanical gardens, Birute Hill, and the Anaiciai Ethnographic Cemetery.

A popular seaside resort town on the Baltic shore, famed for its sandy beaches and dunes, as well as intriguing local legends.
