Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania and its largest city, located in the southeast part of the country, and is the second largest city of the Baltic states. It is known for its Old Town of beautiful architecture, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Its Jewish influence until the 20th century has led to it being described as the "Jerusalem of Lithuania" and Napoleon named it "the Jerusalem of the North" as he was passing through in 1812. In 2009, Vilnius was the European Capital of Culture, together with the Austrian city of Linz. Its attractions include the Amber Gallery-Museum, Gate of Dawn, Church of St. Anne, Republic of Uzupis, and the Vilnius Castle Complex among many others.

Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic. The most visited sights of the city include the Spilberk castle and fortress and the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul on Petrov hill, two medieval buildings that dominate the cityscape and are often depicted as its traditional symbols. The other large preserved castle near the city is Veveri Castle by the Brno Dam Lake. This castle is the site of a number of legends, as are many other places in Brno. Another architectural monument of Brno is the functionalist Villa Tugendhat which has been included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. One of the natural sights nearby is the Moravian Karst.

Sirmione is a commune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, northern Italy. It has a historic center which is located on the Sirmio peninsula that divides the lower part of Lake Garda. The main historical landmark of Sirmione is the so-called Grottoes of Catullus (Grotte di Catullo), the most striking example of a Roman private edifice discovered in northern Italy. The edifice had a rectangular plan and measured 167 x 105 meters. The town is famous for its thermal springs.

Krakow is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland, dating back to the 7th century. It has traditionally been one of the leading centers of Polish academic, cultural, and artistic life. Major landmarks of the city include the Main Market Square with St. Mary's Basilica and the Sukiennice Cloth Hall, the Wawel Castle and Cathedral, the National Art Museum, and the medieval St Florian's Gate with the Barbican along the Royal Coronation Route.
