The inner city of Copenhagen features many of Copenhagen's most popular monuments and attractions and the city's most distinctive district is Frederiksstaden, with the Amalienborg Palace at its centre. Copenhagen also serves as the cultural hub of Denmark and wider Scandinavia with a wide array of museums and a significant jazz scene. Strøget, a popular shopping area, hosts many street performers in the late afternoon and evening. Copenhagen is home to the two oldest amusement parks in the world - Dyrehavsbakken and Tivoli Gardens. The city also has many restaurants and bars with nightclub staing open until 5 or 6 in the morning.

Rostock is the largest city in the north German state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Rostock is on the Warnow river; Rostock is home to one of the oldest universities in the world, the University of Rostock founded in 1419. One of the most picturesque places in Rostock is the New Market Square, with the Town Hall - that was originally built in the 13th century in Brick Gothic style, but extensively transformed in the 18th century, with the addition of a Baroque façade and a banqueting hall. The square also preserved six original, carefully restored gable houses from the 15th and 16th centuries.

Szczecin is the capital city of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. In the vicinity of the Baltic Sea, it is the country's seventh-largest city and a major seaport in Poland. The city's history began in the 8th century as a Slavic Pomeranian stronghold, built at the site of today's castle. The Old Town was rebuilt in the late 1990s, consisting of new buildings, some of which were reconstructions of buildings destroyed in World War II. Gdansk is a Polish city on the Baltic coast, the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland's principal seaport and the center of the country's fourth-largest metropolitan area. Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, the administrative center of Neringa municipality. It currently has about 1,650 residents. The town is an upmarket holiday resort, hosting about 200,000 to 300,000 tourists each summer. However during recent years it become a decent point of interest for fine electronica music and modern art shows at an eclectic forest retreat. Its main attractions include the famous Parnidis Dune, as well as its wonderful beach.

Rauma is a town on the west coast of Finland. It is known for its old wooden architecture of its centre (Old Rauma, Vanha Rauma), which is a Unesco world heritage site. The wooden city centre, which is how large the town was until 1809, has approximately 600 wooden buildings built in the neo-renaissance style. Rauma is also known for the high quality lace industry, and an annual Lace Week has been arranged in Rauma since 1971. During this week local craftspeople arrange small exhibitions in the Old Rauma area.
