Dordrecht, colloquially Dordt, is a city and municipality in the western Netherlands, located in the province of South Holland. Dordrecht is the largest and most important city in the Drechtsteden and is also part of the Randstad, the main conurbation in the Netherlands. Dordrecht is the oldest city in the Holland area and has a rich history and culture. Because of its long and important role in Dutch history, Dordrecht has a rich culture. The medieval city centre is home to over 950 monuments. The city also houses 7 churches and 6 museums in a relatively small area and hosts many festivals and events every year.

Ribe is the oldest extant Danish town, located in southwest Jutland. The town has many well-preserved old buildings and The Ribe Cathedral and old town hall are especially noteworthy. Among the cultural highlights are some notable museums: Ribe Viking Museum, Ribe Art Museum and Denmark's oldest province museum. Another attraction in town is The Night Watchman - Every evening from 1 May until 15 September you may accompany the night watchman in Ribe on his route through the old town, while he is singing to alert citizens about bedtime approaching. Mandø Island nature reserve is 30km from town.

Esbjerg is a seaport town on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark. The town has several notable museums and entertainment venues, including Esbjerg Art Museum, Esbjerg Museum and the privately owned Fisheries and Maritime Museum which has a saltwater aquarium and a sealarium as well as indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Other landmarks in town include the Esbjerg Water Tower, the Man Meets the Sea monument and The Courthouse on the main square.

Skagen is Denmark's northernmost town, Situated on the east coast of the Skagen Odde peninsula in the far north of Jutland. The town is a thriving tourist attraction, attracting some 2 million people annually. There are many galleries around townselling artwork and handicrafts. Sankt Laurentii Vej, one of the main streets away from the harbour area in Skagen is a known for its glass and pottery shops. Of particular note are Skagen Glasvaerksted and Skagen Potteri. In addition there is has a wide range of shops and food stores. Other points of interest in and around town include the headland at Grenen where the North Sea and the Baltic Sea meet, Drachmann's House and The teddy bear museum.

Odense is the third largest city in Denmark and the main city of the island of Funen. Odense is known as the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen and throughout the city there are numerous statues representing characters from his stories and a museum is located in the house is it thought he was born in. Other landmarks in town include Nonnebakken - the site of a Viking ring castle, Saint Canute's Cathedral, St Alban's Church, Odense Palace and the Odense Zoo. A wide variety of shops can be found in the city centre, especially on Kongensgade and Vestergade and adjacent pedestrian streets Nightlife in the city culminates in Brandts Passage, which contains numerous restaurants, bars and cafes.

Copenhagen is home to the two oldest amusement parks in the world - Dyrehavsbakken and Tivoli Gardens. The city also has many restaurants and bars with nightclub staing open until 5 or 6 in the morning.
