Amiens is a city and commune in northern France. Amiens Cathedral, the tallest of the large, classic, Gothic churches of the 13th century and the largest in France of its kind, is a World Heritage Site. The author Jules Verne lived in Amiens from 1871 until his death in 1905. During December, the town hosts the largest Christmas market in northern France. Amiens is known for a few local foods, including "macarons d'Amiens", almond paste biscuits; "tuiles amienoises", chocolate and orange curved biscuits; "pate de canard d'Amiens", duck pate in pastry; "la ficelle Picarde", an oven-baked cheese-topped crepe; and "flamiche aux poireaux", a puff pastry tart made with leeks and cream.

Naumburg is a city in Germany, on the Saale River. Naumburg is in a wine-growing region, with numerous vineyards in the surrounding area. The most important architectural landmark of the city is St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral, an impressive late Romanesque and Gothic Cathedral, built between the 13th and 15th centuries. Other attractions include: The late Gothic city hall. The Gothic St. Wenceslas Church, which displays paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder and the Hildebrandt organ that Johann Sebastian Bach played on. The former bishop's castle Schönburg, which overlooks the city and the Saale River.

A former member of the medieval Hanseatic League, as a free imperial city of the Holy Roman Empire.Today, Hamburg is a major transport hub and is one of the most affluent cities in Europe. Hamburg has architecturally significant buildings in a wide range of styles and only a few skyscrapers. Churches are important landmarks, such as St Nicholas', which for a short time in the 19th century was the world's tallest building. There are many parks distributed over the whole city, which makes Hamburg a very verdant city. The biggest parks are the Stadtpark, the Ohlsdorf Cemetery and Planten un Blomen.

Ribe is the oldest extant Danish town, located in southwest Jutland. The town has many well-preserved old buildings and The Ribe Cathedral and old town hall are especially noteworthy. Among the cultural highlights are some notable museums: Ribe Viking Museum, Ribe Art Museum and Denmark's oldest province museum. Another attraction in town is The Night Watchman - Every evening from 1 May until 15 September you may accompany the night watchman in Ribe on his route through the old town, while he is singing to alert citizens about bedtime approaching. Mandø Island nature reserve is 30km from town.
