Krakow is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland, dating back to the 7th century. It has traditionally been one of the leading centers of Polish academic, cultural, and artistic life. Major landmarks of the city include the Main Market Square with St. Mary's Basilica and the Sukiennice Cloth Hall, the Wawel Castle and Cathedral, the National Art Museum, and the medieval St Florian's Gate with the Barbican along the Royal Coronation Route. Krakow has 28 museums and public art galleries. Among them are the main branch of Poland's National Museum and the Czartoryski Museum, the latter featuring works by Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt.

A metropolis of cultural significance, Krakow preserves a multitude of historic and religious remnants dating all the way to the 7C.

Sandomierz is a town in south-eastern Poland, situated in the Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship. Other places of note are the Sandomierz castle, the main market square, the Sandomierz cathedral, and the Sandomierz synagogue.

Zakopane is a town in the extreme south of Poland near the border with Slovakia. It lies in a valley between the Tatra Mountains and Gubalowka Hill. The town is a center of Góral culture, is known informally as "the winter capital of Poland," and is a popular destination for mountaineering, skiing, and qualified tourism. In the winter, tourists are drawn to Zakopane for its excellent conditions for winter sports: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. In the summer, tourists come to enjoy hiking, climbing, and spelunking. Many come to experience góral culture, which is rich and unique. Points of interest include the Koliba Villa, Jaszczurowka Chapel, and the Krupowki street.
