Latvia Kurzeme

Liepāja is a city in western Latvia, located on the Baltic Sea and is an important ice-free port. It is the largest city in the Kurzeme Region and the third largest city in the country after Riga and Daugavpils. Liepāja is known throughout Latvia as "The city where the wind is born", likely because of the constant sea breeze. Its reputation of Liepāja as the windiest city in Latvia was strengthened with the construction nearby of the largest wind power plant in the nation. Its main attractions include the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Seaside Park, St. Peter's Market, Liepaja Museum, Karosta Prison, and more.

Ventspils is a town in northwestern Latvia in the Courland historical region of Latvia, the sixth largest city in the country. It is situated on the Venta River and the Baltic Sea, and has an ice-free port. The city's name literally means "castle on the Venta", referring to the Livonian Order's castle built alongside the Venta River. Ventspils is a capital of flowers and fountains, you can find colorful cow sculptures, but streets, parks, squares and courtyards are decorated with flower sculptures, figurative flower compositions and tasteful flowerbeds. Other attractions include Ventspils Nicolay Lutheran Church, Ventspils Beach Aquapark, and Open-Air Maritime Museum.

Kuldiga is a town in western Latvia. It was first mentioned in 1242, joining the Hanseatic League in 1368. The town is considered to be the pearl of Kurzeme, Latvia's western region. It boasts distinctive architecture, the Venta River with the widest waterfall ledge in Europe, and an old brick bridge. The pulse of the town is best felt in the central square, a venue for weavers' exhibitions, traditional festivities and other events. It is in Kuldiga that one can see the oldest wooden building in Kurzeme put up in 1670 near the town square. Others attractions include the Town Garden and Sculpture Park‬, Kuldiga Region‬al Museum, and Riezupe Sand Caves.
