  • Budva

    Budva is a Montenegrin town on the Adriatic Sea. The coastal area around Budva, called the Budva Riviera, is the center of Montenegrin tourism, known for its well preserved medieval walled city, sandy beaches and diverse nightlife. Budva is 2,500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. Its main attractions include the isle of Sveti Stefan, a citadel, Catholic Church of St. John, the Dancing Girl Statue, the Mogren Beach, and more.

    Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor. The old Mediterranean port of Kotor is surrounded by fortifications built during the Venetian period. It is located on the Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), one of the most indented parts of the Adriatic Sea. Some have called it the southern-most fjord in Europe, but it is a ria, a submerged river canyon. Together with the nearly overhanging limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen, Kotor and its surrounding area form an impressive and picturesque Mediterranean landscape. Main sights include Cathedral of St. Tryphon, Fortifications of KotorMaritime Museum, St. John Fortress, and more.

  • Sutomore

    Sutomore is a small coastal town in Bar Municipality, Montenegro. Sutomore is a tourism oriented community. It is a popular destination and a weekend resort, catering to tourists from Montenegro and the surrounding region. It is popular for its 2 km (1 mi) long sandy beach and vibrant nightlife. Sutomore is especially popular with the younger crowd from Serbia and rest of Montenegro, as its beach promenade is lined with numerous bars, cafes, fast food restaurants and nightclubs, while it is more affordable than the 'upscale' resort of Budva. Other attractions include the Church of St. Petka.

  • Perast

    Tivat is a coastal town in southwest Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. Tivat is the centre of Tivat Municipality, which is the smallest municipality by area in Montenegro. Already a popular tourist resort, Tivat is set to become a nautical tourism center for the southern Adriatic. The inlets near Prevlaka, as well as the localities of Zupa and Kalimanj, provide great conditions for the construction of marinas and yachting clubs. Its attractions include Kalimanj Marina, Plavi Horizonti Beach, Summer House Buca, City Park, and lovely nearby islets.

  • Ulcinj, Montenegro

    Ulcinj is the southernmost town in Montenegro. The town of Ulcinj has a population of which the majority are Albanians. It is the center of Ulcinj Municipality and the center of the Albanian community in Montenegro. The Day of Ulcinj is held every first Saturday of April. It symbolizes the end of the collection of olives, the output of the sailors at the sea, and the beginning of the tourist season. Ulcinj is founding member of National Assembly of Albanian Municipalities created in 26 November 2012. Its main attractions include Velika Plaza, Church of St. Maria,Namazgjahu Mosque, Ladies Beach, Sailors' Mosque, Ulcinj Castle, and more.

  • Herceg Novi

    Herceg Novi is a coastal town in Montenegro located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of Mount Orjen. It is the administrative center of the Herceg Novi Municipality with around 33,000 inhabitants. Herceg Novi was known as Castelnuovo ("New castle" in Italian) between 1420 and 1797 when it was part of the Albania Veneta of the Republic of Venice. Herceg Novi has had a turbulent past, despite being one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic. A history of varied occupations has created a blend of diverse and picturesque architectural style in the city.     Petrovac is a coastal town in Montenegro, within Budva Municipality. It is located on the coast between Budva and Bar, where the old mountain road from Podgorica reaches the coast. It has a 600 m long sandy beach and it is a popular tourist destination. Petrovac is seen as a somewhat "calmer" resort, in contrast to the lively and developed nearby towns of Budva and Sutomore. Petrovac is today a popular summer beach resort, its visitors coming predominantly from Montenegro and Serbia. Besides the beach, other attractions include St. Elijah Church, Roman Mosaic, and the historic center.

  • The Montenegro Trip - May 2010

    Becici is a town within Budva Municipality, Montenegro. It is located south-east of Budva, and has 771 permanent residents (2003 census). It has a 1,950m long sandy beach, which is among the most beautiful beaches in Montenegro and the southern Adriatic. In 1935 it won the Grand Prix in Paris as the most beautiful beach in Europe. Several sections of the beach are private and are only accessible to the hotel guests. The most significant greenfield addition to the town was the Hotel Splendid, a luxurious five-star resort that cost 70 million euros to build. It was the choice of The Rolling Stones and Madonna as well as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie during their stay in Montenegro.

  • Bar, Montenegro

    Bar is a coastal town and seaport in southern Montenegro. It is the capital of the Bar Municipality and a center for tourism. The natural area around Bar is mostly untouched and is rich in vegetation. The Bar municipality stretches to the southern shore of Skadar lake and encompasses Krajina region. This entire area is suitable for leisure activities and hiking. Smaller settlements near Bar, such as Dobra Voda, Sutomore and Čanj, are a favourite destination for sunbathing, as they incorporate long sandy beaches. Main sites of the town include Bar Aqueduct, Old Bar Fortress, and King Nikola’s Palace.

  • Quiet Perast

    Perast is an old town on the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. It is situated a few kilometres northwest of Kotor and is noted for its proximity to the islets of St. George and Our Lady of the Rocks. Perast lies beneath the hill of St. Ilija, on a cape that separates the Bay of Risano from that of Kotor, and overlooks the Verige strait, the narrowest part of the Bay of Kotor. Near Perast there are two islets: one is called St. George and the other Our Lady of the Rocks, and each has a picturesque chapel. Other attractions in Perast include St. Nicholas Church, Perast Museum, and a nice historic center.
