Cadaques is located on the Cap de Creus peninsula in Girona, on the Costa Brava. Boasting the natural beauty of a rocky coast with beautiful beaches and tranquil coves, and the breathtaking landscape of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, this fishing village was transformed into a popular, chic tourist site - and a magnet for many famous artists. Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, the poets Garcia Lorca and Paul Alvar, and the film director Louis Buñuel all found inspiration in Cadaques in the first decades of the 20th century, but it was Salvador Dali, the famous Surrealist painter, who brought Cadaques to international fame. He often visited Cadaques in his childhood and later established a home there.
Magical Cadaques is a chic tourist site with its beautiful rocky coast, beaches, and coves along with outstanding culture, history, water sports, and cuisine.
