Alcala de Henares, meaning Citadel on the river Henares, is a Spanish city whose historic center is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. The city stands out for its rich archaeology and was one of the first bishoprics founded in Spain. The major landmark and one of the great prides of the city, its university, is spread throughout the city, but generally exists in two campuses. Aside from the buildings associated with the university, one of the city's most important and historic building is the Cathedral-Magistral of Saints Justus and Pastor, Constructed between 1497 and 1514.
