Lycksele

Lycksele is a locality in the province of Lapland, Sweden, with about 8,000 inhabitants. It is the oldest lasting Sami settlement in Swedish Lappland. The first Swedish Sami school, Skytteanska skolan, was built here in 1634.

A historic riverside city with a small-town feel, Lycksele is a great starting point for your exploration of Lapland and Sami culture.
