Switzerland Schwyz

Brunnen is a resort on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, part of the municipality Ingenbohl (Canton of Schwyz). Brunnen railway station, on the Gotthard railway, is served by hourly Inter Regiotrains, and by lines S2 of the Stadtbahn Zug, which operates hourly between Zug,Arth-Goldau and Erstfeld, and S3 of the S-Bahn Luzern, which operates hourly to Lucerne. Brunnen also has a cable car that goes to the Urmiberg, a part of the Rigi offering wonderful views of Lake Lucerne and the Alps. Winston Churchill spent his honeymoon in Brunnen.

The village of Einsiedeln is a popular tourist destination in central Switzerland. Einsiedeln is known for its monastery, the Benedictine Einsiedeln Abbey, a site for Roman Catholic pilgrims. In addition to the religious sites, Einsiedeln is also a popular destination for sports year round. The village has its own ski jump, ski lifts, ski tows and winter sports centres, which are in the nearly area Hoch-Ybrig and Brunni. Schanzen Einsiedeln is the national ski jumping venue of Switzerland. The nearby reservoir, Sihlsee, is used in summer for swimming, surfing and sailing, and in the winter for ice-skating.

The town of Schwyz is the capital of the canton of Schwyz. The Bundesbriefmuseum, the Dominican nuns Convent of St. Peter am Bach, the medieval and early modern settlement, the Hermitage and chapel, the Forum der Schweizer Geschichte, the Ab Yberg im Grund House, the Bethlehem House, the Ceberg im Feldli house, the house, the Grosshus, the Immenfeld house, the house, the house at Oberschönenbuch 79 in Ibach, the Herrenhaus Waldegg, the Hettlingerhäuser, the Hofstatt Ital Reding, the Catholic Parish Church of St. Martin, the Maihof, the Palais Büeler, the Rathaus, the Reding House, the State Archives of Schwyz and the Köplihaus house are Swiss heritage sites of national significance.
