Ukraine Zakarpattia Oblast

Uzhhorod is a city located in western Ukraine, at the border with Slovakia and near the border with Hungary. It is the administrative center of Zakarpattia Oblast (region), as well as the administrative center of the surrounding Uzhhorod Raion (district) within the oblast. Points of interest in the city include the Uzhhorod Castle, University Botanic Garden, Aqua Rio Park, Museum of Folk Architecture, Bozdos'kyi Park, and several parks.

Mukacheve is a city located in the valley of the Latorica river in Zakarpattia Oblast (province), in Western Ukraine. The city is now a rail terminus and highway junction, and has beer, wine, tobacco, food, textile, timber and furniture industries. During the Cold War it was home to Mukacheve air base combined with a radar station. City's attractions include Palanok Castle, Mukacheve Town Hall, Myru Square, St. Nicholas Monastery, Shenbornov Castle, and more.
