  • York

    York local is a walled city at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England. The city offers a wealth of historic attractions, of which York Minster is the most prominent, and a variety of cultural and sporting activities. York Minster, the largest Gothic cathedral in Northern Europe, dominates the city. York Castle, a complex of buildings ranging from the medieval Clifford's Tower to the 20th century entrance to the York Castle Museum (formerly a prison) has had a chequered history. York's centre is enclosed by the city's medieval walls, which are a popular walk. These defences are the most complete in England.

The Sheffield Walk of Fame is another local attraction, honouring famous Sheffield residents past and present in a similar way to the Hollywood version.

    Leeds is a city in West Yorkshire, England. Leeds displays a variety of natural and built landmarks. Natural landmarks include such diverse sites as the gritstone outcrop of Otley Chevin and the Fairburn Ings RSPB reserve. The built environment embraces edifices of civic pride like Morley Town Hall and the trio of buildings in Leeds, Leeds Town Hall, Corn Exchange and Leeds City Museum.

The town is on a meander of the River Thames, with a large number of parks and open spaces, including Richmond Park, and many protected conservation areas, which include much of Richmond Hill.     Whitby is a seaside town, port and civil parish in England. Its East Cliff is home to the ruins of Whitby Abbey. Tourism started in Whitby during the Georgian period, Its attraction as a tourist destination is enhanced by its proximity to the high ground of the North York Moors National Park, its Heritage Coastline and by its association with the horror novel Dracula. The abbey ruin at the top of the East Cliff is the town's oldest and most prominent landmark. Other significant features include the swing bridge, which crosses the River Esk and the harbour, which is sheltered by the East and West piers.

    Ripon is a cathedral city, market town and successor parish in the Borough of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It is located at the confluence of two tributaries of the River Ure in the form of the Laver and Skell. The city is noted for its main feature the Ripon Cathedral which is architecturally significant, as well as the Ripon Racecourse and other features such as its market. The city itself is just over 1,300 years old. Ripon is a tourist destination because of its close proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage Site which consists of the Studley Royal Park and Fountains Abbey. It also contains the theme park Lightwater Valley.

  • Bridlington

    Bridlington is a coastal town and civil parish on the Holderness Coast of the North Sea, situated in the unitary authority and ceremonial county of the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Gypsey Race river runs through the town and emerges into the North Sea in the town harbour. Bridlington is a minor sea fishing port with a working harbour and is well known for its shellfish. It has a mix of small businesses across the manufacturing, retail and service sectors with its prime trade being tourism during the summer months. The Priory Church of St Mary and the associated Bayle Gate are Grade I listed buildings. The church stands on the site of the original Augustine Priory.

    Skipton is a market town and civil parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England. it is located on the course of the River Aire. Home to one of the oldest mills in North Yorkshire, historical documents indicate High Corn Mill dates to 1310. Skipton was anciently distinguished by Skipton Castle, constructed in 1090 as a wooden motte-and-bailey by Robert de Romille, a Norman baron. In the 12th century William le Gros strengthened it with a stone keep to repel attacks from the Kingdom of Scotland to the north.

  • Scarborough

    Scarborough is a town on the North Sea coast of North Yorkshire, England. The town lies between 10–230 feet (3–70 m) above sea level, rising steeply northward and westward from the harbour onto limestone cliffs. The area is also home to many artists working in a wide variety of media and boasts several galleries. The presence of the University of Hull's School of Arts and New Media in the town helps fuel the music and arts scene. These fairly recent developments, married to a long-established museum and visual arts facilities, hint at Scarborough's desire to reinvent itself as a creative and arts-based town.

  • Bradford

    Bradford lies at the heart of the City of Bradford, a metropolitan borough of West Yorkshire, in Northern England. It is situated in the foothills of the Pennines. Bradford has a large amount of listed Victorian architecture including the grand Italianate City Hall. Since the mid-20th century, Bradford has emerged as a tourist destination, becoming the first UNESCO City of Film with attractions such as the National Media Museum, Bradford City Park, the Alhambra theatre and Cartwright Hall.

  • Tourist's Harrogate

    Harrogate is a spa town in North Yorkshire, England. Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, the town is a tourist destination and its visitor attractions include its spa waters and RHS Harlow Carr gardens. Nearby is the Yorkshire Dales national park. It is consistently voted as one of the best places to live in the UK, and in 2013 a poll by Rightmove of 40,000 people found that Harrogate was the happiest place to live in the United Kingdom. What's more. There are many fine examples of architecture about the town, including the Royal Hall theatre, As the only surviving Kursaal in Britain, the Royal Hall is an important national heritage building.

  • Helmsley 024

    Helmsley is a market town and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, on the River Rye, on the southern boundary of the North York Moors National Park. The park itself is a popular tourist attraction. Points of interest in town include the International Centre for Birds of Prey, Rievaulx Abbey and Helmsley Arts Centre.
