  • 'Hello Ho Chi Minh', Vietnam, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh Square

    Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named and still also referred to as Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam. It was once known as Prey Nokor, an important Khmer seaport prior to annexation by the Vietnamese in the 17C. Under the name Saigon, it was the capital of the French colony of Cochinchina and later of the independent republic of South Vietnam 1955–75. On 2 July 1976, Saigon merged with the surrounding Gia Dinh Province and was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City after revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh. The city's attractions include the temples, several architectural landmarks, the Cu Chi Tunnels, and several museums.

    Chau Doc is a city in An Giang Province, bordering Cambodia, in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. The city is located by the Hau River (a branch of the Mekong River flowing through Vietnamese territory) and Vinh Te canal. The Phuoc Dien Temple is located in Chau Doc. It is an official historic monument of Vietnam. Sam Mountain, whose summit is about 1,000m above sea level, is a famous mountain in Chau Doc, about 7km from the city.

  • Can Tho

    Can Tho is the fourth-largest city in Vietnam, and the largest city in the Mekong Delta. The Mekong Delta is considered to be the "rice basket of Vietnam", contributing more than half of the nation's rice production. Can Tho is famous for its floating markets, where people sell and buy things on the river, as well as the bird gardens and the port of Ninh Kieu. The city offers a wide range of tropical fruits such as pomelo, longan, jackfruit, mango and durian. The Can Tho City Museum has exhibits on the city's history.

    Vung Tau is the largest city and former capital of Ba Rịa–Vung Tau Province in Vietnam. The city area consists of thirteen urban wards and one commune of Long Son Islet. Vung Tau was the capital of the province until 2012, and is the crude oil extraction center of Vietnam. Spend your time exploring the beautiful local beaches.

    Con Son, also known as Con Lon, is the largest island of the Con Dao archipelago, off the coast of southern Vietnam. Spend your time lazing about on the beautiful beaches, soaking up the sun.

  • Ha Tien

    Ha Tien is a district-level town in Kien Giang Province, Mekong Delta of Vietnam. It is a popular tourist site of the region thanks to its beautiful beaches and landscapes. If you're in area, enjoy the local beach and visit some of the town's temples.

    Bien Hoa is a city in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, about 32km east of Ho Chi Minh City, to which Bien Hoa is linked by Vietnam Highway 1.

    Ca Mau is a city in southern Vietnam. It is the capital of Ca Mau Province, a province in the Mekong Delta region, in the southernmost part of Vietnam's inland territory. Vietnam's incumbent Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung was born and raised here. The city is characterized by its system of transport canals and most goods are transported here by boats and barges. The majority of its residents is ethnic Vietnamese, with 300 Khmer Krom households and 400 Hoa households.

  • Mekong River Delta, Vietnam

    My Tho is the capital city, center of economics, education and technology of Tien Giang Province, located in the Mekong Delta region of South Vietnam. The majority ethnic group is the Kinh, and some of the Chinese, the Cham and the Khmer. Boat rides on the My Tho River are popular with tourists, and the city is known for hu tieu My Tho, a type of soup. Its attractions include Vinh Trang Temple, Cao Dai Temple, Dong Tam Snake Farm. There are four islands in the Tien River between My Tho and Ben Tre, also nice for a visit. My Tho is also well known as floating markets, where people sell and buy things on the river.

  • Duong Dong

    Duong Dong is the main town on Vietnam's largest island Phu Quoc, off the coast of South-West Cambodia. The population in 2003 was 18,880. Vo Thị Sau Street runs from the town to the beach, but also be sure to visit the market.

  • Tra Vinh

    Tra Vinh is a provincial city in Vietnam and the capital of the Tra Vinh Province. It is located in the Mekong Delta region, which is in the Southern part of Vietnam. The city has many famous Khmer pagodas, due to the large number of Khmer Krom, Cambodian people there.
