  • Dresden

    Dresden is a city in Saxony, Germany. It is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near the Czech border. Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendor. The city was known as the Jewel Box, because of its baroque and rococo city center. After world war II restoration work has helped to reconstruct parts of the historic inner city, including the Katholische Hofkirche, the Semper Oper and the Dresdner Frauenkirche.

    Leipzig is a city in Saxony, Germany. Leipzig has a prominent opera house and one of the most modern zoos in Europe. Main sights include St. Thomas Church (Thomaskirche): Most famous as the place where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as a cantor. St. Nicholas Church (Nikolaikirche), for which Bach was also responsible. Gewandhaus: home to the famous Gewandhaus Orchestra. Bundesverwaltungsgericht: Germany's federal administrative court was the site of the Reichsgericht, the highest state court between 1888 and 1945.   • Meißen

    Meissen is a town on both banks of the Elbe river in Saxony, Germany. Meissen is the home of Meissen porcelain, the Albrechtsburg castle, the Gothic Meissen Cathedral and the Meissen Frauenkirche. The Albrechtsburg, Built between 1472 and 1525, it is a fine example of late Gothic style. It was redecorated in the 19th century. Today the castle is a museum. Nearby is the 13th-century Gothic Meissen Cathedral. The hill on which the castle and the cathedral are built offers a view over the roofs of the old town. Meissen's historical district contains many buildings of Renaissance architecture. Also imposing is the view from the 57 metre high tower of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady).

    Görlitz is a town in Germany. It is the easternmost town in the country, located on the Lusatian Neisse River in Saxony. The city combines Lusatian and Silesian traditions as well as German and Sorbian culture;
