Thasos is a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea. it is also the name of the largest town of the island. The island has several beaches, and some of the more prominent being Skala Prinos which is also a Blue Flag beach, Pachis, Glykadi, and Skala Potamia that also has a camping site, lots of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. In addition - the village of Astris is a site of a natural swimming pool named Giola. A few other noteable sights include the Archaeological Museum of Thasos, Folklore Museum of Limenaria, Archangel Michael's Monastery and Saint Panteleimon Monastery.
