  • Killarney

    Killarney is a medium sized town in County Kerry, southwestern Ireland. The town is on the northeastern shore of Lough Leane, which is part of Killarney National Park. The town and its hinterland is home to St Mary's Cathedral, Ross Castle, Muckross House and Abbey, the Lakes of Killarney, MacGillycuddy's Reeks, Purple Mountain, Mangerton Mountain, the Gap of Dunloe and Torc Waterfall. Killarney was bestowed the prestigious "Best Kept Town" award in 2007 in a cross-border competition. Tourism is by far the largest industry in Killarney. With the exception of Dublin, there are more hotel beds in Killarney than in any other Irish town or city.

  • Doon Road, Ballybunion

    Ballybunion is a coastal town and seaside resort in County Kerry, Ireland, 15 km from the town of Listowel. In the summer, Ballybunion attracts many families and young people to enjoy the sandy beach, warm Atlantic waters and the pubs along the high street. Nearby cliffs offer excellent scenery. The beaches near Ballybunion are also a popular surfing site. The village itself contains mostly pubs, amusement arcades and fast food restaurants. The Ballybunion Golf Club is home to arguably one of the best links courses in the world and is situated beside the beach.

  • Dingle

    The only town on the Dingle Peninsula, Dinglesits on the Atlantic coast. In Ireland the town was developed as a port following the Norman invasion of Ireland. The Dingle Peninsula was the scene of much of the military activity of 1579–80. On 17 July 1579 James FitzMaurice FitzGerald brought a small fleet of ships to Dingle. He made landfall, launching the Second Desmond Rebellion. sites in Dingle include St. Mary's church, which was a neo-Gothic church built to designs by J. J. McCarthy. Since 1984 a common bottlenose dolphin has frequented the Dingle harbour area. He has been given the name Fungie. He regularly shows up when tour boats go out to meet him.

    Tralee is the county town of County Kerry in the south-west of Ireland. The town is on the northern side of the neck of the Dingle Peninsula, and is the largest town in County Kerry. Tralee is famous for the Rose of Tralee International Festival which has been held annually in August since 1959. Archaeological sites include Casement's Fort: an ancient Ring Fort where Roger Casement was hiding when arrested. Monument to Saint Brendan the Navigator at Fenit. and Caherconree: Iron Age Fort overlooking Tralee Bay

  • Sneem, Ring of Kerry

    Sneem is a town situated on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. It lies on the estuary of the River Sneem. Sneem village comprises two squares, North and South. A bridge in the middle of the village, viewed from overhead, acts as a knot between the two squares. A less common explanation is that Sneem is the knot in the scenic Ring of Kerry. There is much public sculpture in Sneem. The work of Vivienne Roche, Alan Hall, Tamara Rikman, a panda sculpture donated by the Peoples Republic of China and the goddess Isis donated by the people of Egypt can be seen in various locations.

  • Cahersiveen

    Cahersiveen su a town in the Region of Skellig Kerry, County Kerry, Ireland, located on the River Fertha and is the principal town of the Iveragh Peninsula. Cahersiveen is near Valentia Island and is connected to the Irish road network by the N70 road. The town is home ot a decommissioned Royal Irish Constabulary barracks, now a heritage centre, which according to legend, was built from the plans for a British barracks in India that got mixed up.
